Have you ever been so alone,
so devastated you just couldn’t?
incapable of being understood
jumbled scrambled words
i knew it was
before it came
it all falls but
we’ll be okay
dream big

Move-in was hectic; there were boxes everywhere constantly needing to be unpacked. The sun was blazing through the window of our triple occupant room because it sadly faces the west. At first the room looked deceiving: there seemed to be no possible way to fit all of our belongings into the small wardrobes and into the cramped desks, although we somehow managed to fit three ladies and all their necessities into a room built for two. Our isolation in our room resulted to the question, “do you live in this hall?” Luckily our exclusiveness towards meeting the rest of our hall dissipated.
Now it being the second week we have began to climb out of our chambers and have been getting to know the other ladies and gents in our hall: Evenstar. Our hall’s goal is to become close like family and I do hope that we reach that goal. Everyone is very open and relatively welcoming (lol). Our hall bonfire was very fun and I hope we get more chances to bond like that throughout the year. My first night of staying up late with hall mates was last night; 2:30AM is considered a very late time for me to get to bed. I usually end up crashing around 12 or sometimes even 11.
Every day I wake up forty five minutes before my class begins. That’s how short it takes me to get ready and to walk to class and yet I still arrive ten minutes early. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, I have class at 10. HOLY SHIT. Right when I was typing out my schedule for people to know when i have class in this blog post, I just realized I completely forgot about my class today from 7-7:50pm.. oops. It’s alright, I just asked a friend who has that discussion with me and he said I didnt’ miss anything. phew :) Wow, what a scare. I can’t believe I got so distracted by just being in college i forgot about that discussion for my Economics 20A class.
I suppose it could happen to anyone, it’s hard adapting to college.
